Ingredients:

(makes 2 servings)

  • ½ cup grated dudhi (bottle gourd)                 

  • ½ cup toned Milk                       

  • ¼ cup paneer                            

  • 1 tbsp desiccated coconut     

  • 1 tbsp ghee                                

  • 4 tsp jaggery powder             

  • 5 almonds                           

  • 5 cashews                          

  • 5-6 raisins                              

  • Elaichi powder to taste

How to prepare:

  1. Remove the skin of the dudhi (bottle gourd) and grate it

  2. Add 1 tbsp of ghee to a pan and cook the grated dudhi (bottle gourd) on a low flame for 5 min

  3. Add the toned milk, cover with a lid, and let it cook on a low flame for 5 min

  4. Add the paneer (home-made paneer will lend it an even better texture), desiccated coconut, chopped almonds, chopped cashews, raisins, powdered jaggery and mix well

  5. Let the halwa cook on a low flame of 2 min

  6. Transfer the dudhi halwa (bottle gourd pudding) to a bowl and serve hot or chilled
